With our lovely friends and the cheerful company of the colourful birds of Bhutan, we reached the third day of our birding tour. Waking up to a gorgeous golden morning in a cosy room overlooking the vast Phobjikha Valley gave us a refreshing start to the day.

We were heading towards Trongsa, and en route, we were supposed to do our birding. Small and large—many of them seen, many unseen (lifers)—we lost ourselves in the nature surrounded only by the sweet aroma of woods, the chirping song of the birds, and the crisp feel of the mist in the air.

Keeping the blog post series pictorial, let’s meet the Birds of Bhutan in this leg of our journey.
