In Search of Owls in Koyna

Birding, Birding, India, Maharashtra Tourism By Feb 27, 2024 No Comments

Owls are magnificent nocturnal birds of the order Strigiformes. The personality of the owls has always enticed me. Yes, they do have a strong personality. You will know once you look into their eyes and follow their expression 😀 . We reached there for the lure of night birding adventure and the search for owls in Koyna. Footlooseinme will introduce you to some of the amazing owls in Koyna.

We went to Koyna again for our annual visit, or shall I name it ‘ For the call of the Owls in Koyna’? Our trusted birding guide Raj Rathod (like all our previous visits,) took us to the Valley of the Owls in the darkness of the night.

This post will be a pictorial post with not many birds this time like my other birding posts on Koyna.

I had a strange camera lens mishap on this tour. This hampered my photography and my mood too. I could not take as many photos during the day birding session. While for the night sessions, we did not push much in search of the owls in Koyna. Thus, I ended up with a handful of photos to be shared with my readers.

I will be back in Koyna soon to explore more of its bird life. Till then, meet the Owls of Koyna that I captured this time.
